As a Pointing Sign:
1. The sign can be used immediately before or after a verb to mean a thing or another person (and not the signer or the person they are talking to) does the action of the verb alone (i.e., without anyone else present) or without the help of anyone else (i.e., it/he/she is the only person or thing responsible for the action). English = itself, herself, himself.
2. The sign can be used immediately before or after a verb to mean the action of the verb was done by another person or thing to the same person or thing and not by anyone or anything else, i.e., it makes the verb reflexive. English = itself, herself, himself.
